Over 56,000 people benefited from the statewide Thanksgiving distribution on Saturday, Nov. 18. Each family received 50 lbs of potatoes, 10 lbs of chicken, bread, and assorted vegetables.

 

Thanksgiving dinner at the men's shelter was special again this year. Volunteer servers included Governor and Mrs. Manchin, the family of WCHS-TV8's Jim Barach, and the managment team of Little Caesar's.

 

In August, more than 300 children received backpacks and school supplies at special giveaway. Backpacks and supplies were provided by Bible Center Church.
